Therapy for Latinx uses the latest technology to make it as easy as possible for people to find therapists, life coaches, emergency mental health centers, and free/low costs community clinics.

Breaking Stigma in the Latinx Community
In April 2018, Adriana Alejandre founded Latinx Therapy, the podcast about mental wellbeing and destigmatization in the Latinx community. This project was created after she noticed a need for more education for the Latinx Spanish speaking community, especially in audio-form.
Within the first day, the Latinx Therapy got recognition from Apple, iTunes and other sources. More than anything, the mission of connecting people to culturally sensitive mental health practitioners was achieved. People began reaching out to Adriana to ask for referrals to Latinx therapists, for themselves or their parents. That’s how Latinx Therapy began to expand.
She had created a Google Map of therapists within her network of Latinx mental health professionals and was using this to help connect people to therapists in their states. Since there were hundreds of people on a monthly basis asking for help, she knew she needed to do more.
Currently, Latinx Therapy has expanded to be a trusted national, bilingual resource for the Latinx community, and this will continue to grow.
The Mental Health App Guide
PsyberGuide is a non-profit project that aims to help people to use technology to live a mentally healthier life.
At PsyberGuide, we want to lead the field of digital mental health forward. Through rigorous evaluation of technology and promotion of scientific best practices, we seek to guide the science, practice, development, and use of digital mental health tools in various settings. We hope to improve access to mental health resources to those who lack access to traditional support, and to help people explore how technology can be used to improve wellbeing.
PsyberGuide is funded by One Mind, a leading non-profit organization in brain health research. PsyberGuide was established in 2013 in response to a growing need for guidelines to help people navigate the mental health app marketplace. In 2017, One Mind welcomed Dr. Stephen Schueller as PsyberGuide Executive Director and established a partnership with Northwestern University.
PsyberGuide now operates out of the University of California, Irvine and Northwestern University where our team consists of experts in mental health, technology, and technology delivered care. PsyberGuide is not an industry website; its goal is to provide accurate and reliable information free of preference, bias, or endorsement.
Representation in Media
Latinaish TV is a social media based comedy channel that provides videos, images, memes and other short form content around the Latina experience and the interactions we have with the American experience.
Serving the Largest Community of Latinx in Tech
Techqueria is a 501c3 nonprofit that empowers Latinx professionals with the resources and support that they need to thrive and become leaders in the tech industry.
To that end, we work with both tech companies and employee resource groups (ERGs) to build Latinx-centered spaces that revolve around career advice, technical talks, mentorship, open jobs, networking events, speaking opportunities, and open-source in order to comprehensively affect change in the tech industry.
Coming from all walks of life, we believe that the diversity of our community is the most reliable asset we have. Our space aims to be inclusive so we invite Latinx from the regions of the Caribbean, Haiti, and Brazil as well as those who identify as Afro-Latinx, Asian-Latinx or LGBTQIA. The term Latinx is used instead of Latino or Latina because it is a gender-neutral and inclusive term.
